purchase a whip finish tool, as you will find it soo much easier than using your fingers

for all those begginers who want to know how to finish off the fly you will first need to purchase a tool called the “Whip
finnish, this saves you using your fingers and makes it alot easier. Good Luck

Go to your local flyshop or Bass Pro Shops and see if they’re doing a fly tying class. Most places do them for free, hoping that you’ll get hooked and buy your materials there.

Learn a simple fly like a wooly bugger and practice it until they look like you could sell it in a shop. Then start expanding and practicing. It’s not nearly as difficult as most people assume, the hardest part for me was learning how much pressure to apply on the thread without breaking it.

    Good luck!

Dear Mr. Cammis–What’s the spelling for “Dullbach?” Is this tied on a nymph hook?. Thanks you for your efforts. The videos are very helpful to beginners like me. Fished a bit in the Dales in September. The people and country were charming. Cheers form the Blue Ridge Mountains
