gotta tell ya dave, our patterns are way different. Normally I’ll use a copper john or griffiths gnat and be pretty successful.. but Im trying to make my box alittle bit of a variety, and your patterns definately make it there! Thanks and keep tying!

    Thanks Mr Camiss,

Think you hit the proverbial nail on the head! Years of handling ropes as a seaman hasn’t done any good for my hands.I’ll try a bit of my misus handcream and see if it helps. Have a great trip to NZ and tighlines..

    Hi Basemix
Thanks for your comments. much appreciated.
We will keep them coming but they do take time paricularly in the editting. I am off to NZ for a month soon so things may slow down for a while.
    Happy Fishing

    Hi LoneRider69
    Thanks for your comments.
    Iuse mostly 6/0 threads.
The most common cause of fraying is rough finger nails, rough skin on your fingers and catching the thread on the hook point in the vice…..bury it in the vice head.

    Thanks Mr Cammiss,

Great tie as usual, what size thread do you use on this? Will 6/0 do? Do you have any tips to prevent thread fraying?
