This is part 3 Polaris Flies video of over 1000 flies that I created in a year. I had signed a book deal with a western publisher for “FLYTREK: ALASKAN FLY PATTERNS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION” which he reneged on, held those my best 165 patterns under copyright, effectively putting me out of business, until NEW and the wonders of youtube and the net! Almost all created with tying materials POLARIS FLIES designed. All these 1000 patterns and about the same again I created in 2000 were hid from fly fishers, due to fly fishing politics!     Look closer, much closer and you’ll see only a few are the same in color variations. If you know much about tying, you’ll see the difference in what is required to tie the patterns.
    ALSO watch the other 4 slideshows in The Hidden Years and you will see a wide variety THAT ARE completely different patterns.

    Beautiful flies. Most are same basic patterns with color variations.

    Thanks, wish I had time to put up more on ALL of my patterns. Have fun tying and fishing. Remember, if it ain’t perfect, it’ll STILL catch fish! Only way anyone gets better at anything is practice.

    You have absolutely BEAUTIFUL flies. I am a beginner tier myself and have watched many of your videos. They are very informative and I’ve learned alot. Thx for posting your videos to help us NEWBIES learn this fine art.
